Creative Classes for Children at Grove House, 452 High Road, Leyton, London, E10 6QE

About

We are two artists, Dominika and Katya, who met in 2023 in Leyton studios, and became friends. Each of us has her own artistic practice: for Dominika it is a painting and sculptures, for Katja a fashion design. In the last few years, we have been working on our own projects, developing our practices, collaborating with artists and also teaching: both one to one as well as in a group setting. As artists, we know how exciting and rewarding the creative process can be. Hence, we want to share our experience and enable children to transform an initial spark of an idea into a fully realised piece of art. We show them that the process matters just as much as the final result, and that creating, in a way that feels true to the individual, is what really matters. Throughout our courses we encourage children to explore, experiment, and find their own creative voice—without fear or hesitation. We believe in a positive and friendly environment where creativity and self expression naturally blossom. Sessions are held in our studio where children have opportunity to see the real artist’s workplace and marinate in a creative environment. Each session is centred around drawing, painting, collaging, working with paper or fabrics; creating 2-dimensional or 3-dimensional works that the young artist will be able to take home after the session.
